Ital Iwe Community Mobile Library

Iwe: we were inspired by the Yoruba for library, we see this as our Afrikan-centred natural (ital) library for our community

Access to information is essential, we can’t underestimate it. As we lose more and more of our public services and free resources, most of which weren’t culturally relevant to us anyway, it’s important that we start collecting and providing the educational resources that we need. We are ever building our collection of books, zines, PDFs and other items. You are welcome to donate to our library, come visit us at one of our pop up events and suggest books that we may want to add! Our focus is on food, nutrition, land and sustainability – but everything is connected and holistic and we welcome all radical and Afrikan books and learning opportunities.
